¡Ojaleo! performs Spanish gypsy flamenco, Balkan music, and Mid-eastern\North African music and dance, along with original and exciting “fusion” music influenced by and blending these styles, An ¡Ojaleo! performance evokes the timeless beauty of these “old-world” traditions in a contemporary, virtuosic, and thoroughly entertaining way.  Ojaleo features Steve Mullins (who composes much of the groups repertoire) on guitar and other ethnic string instruments, and vocalist extraordinaire Meagan Chandler, along with a flexible cast of outstanding musicians and dancers including Sandra Wong on violin and nyckelharpa, percussionists Jeffrey Rodgers and Zahara, and flamenco dancers Sali Gutierrez or Maria Vasquez.
